Help:Getting started with Editing

Editing is changing of the wiki content. Anyone with an account on the Wiki can change a page.

Definition:

  • visual editor - What you see is how it will display. Like a word processor.
  • source editor - Text only view, does not show formatting until preview, used mark-up to add formatting. Like a text file.
  1. Create and Account
  2. Find an article you want to add to while logged-in.
  3. Select edit at the top of the screen to open the visual editor OR select edit source to open the source editor.
  4. Write or fix something or make your edits
  5. If you are using the visual editor, select "Save Changes" and write a summary of your changes so others can easily understand why this change was made. If you are using the source editor scroll to the bottom of the screen and write your summary -> view the preview that your edits make sense and display well.
  6. Confirm your edit - "Save Changes" to finalize the save.
