User Roles and groups
Wiki's have default roles and groups in access permissions.
- Public User - (all) - does not create an account, anyone who views the site.
- Users – applies to all logged-in users. Any account with this role can edit pages without additional restrictions.
- Administrators – are an added role to Users who then are able to delete, user blocking, page protection, and editing the interface
- Bureaucrats – are an added role to Users with permissions to assign/revoke user groups
- Bots – are a role assigned to accounts used for automation allowing users to hide these edits from recent changes or watchlists.

The KNEXT wiki is built on MediaWiki which is the open source software powering Wikipedia. Skills developed here can be applied to Wikipedia editing and many tools that are available on Wikipedia might be found here as well. This site is not part of nor affiliated with Wikipedia or Wikimedia.
